3Poor volume and brightness  Aug 20, 2010
My title really sums this TV up. It is hard to hear many DVDs or streams from my PC. I have to turn the volume up near the high. Listen at the high volume, however, seems to decrease sound quality. Also, everything looks so dark on the screen. Many programs look like they are taking place in the shadows. I tried to adjust the brightness but that doesn't seem to help. Am I doing something wrong?

4Great Picture-OK Sound  Jul 14, 2010
I bought this for the bedroom and overall quite happy. The picture, setup, remote all are excellent and easy. My only knock is the sound volume and quality. To my ear, it needs a high volume to be heard and they you get some distortion. I played with bass level and found a setting I could live with. I also have a large bedroom so a smaller room may not even have this issue. Either way I would buy again.

1Panasonic TV keeps turning itself off  Jun 08, 2010
Do not buy a Panasonic TV. My Panasonic Viera LCD TV keeps turning itself off and putting itself into standby mode. The red power light blinks, but you can't turn the TV back on. This happens sporadically without a pattern or reason. Some days are better than others for the TV. Contacting Panasonic to try to get them to repair the TV under warranty is an exercise in frustration. It seems that Panasonic's tactic is to stonewall, lie, and delay you until you give up in frustration, so that they never have to repair their knowingly defective product. Apparently, this TV defect is very common across all Panasonic TV models, and Panasonic's disreputable customer service behavior is their standard practice as well. I am so disgusted with Panasonic that I will never buy another Panasonic product ever again. The Panasonic company of today has become a disreputable company trading on its past brand name image. Panasonic cannot be trusted to build a quality product anymore and can no longer be trusted to honor its warranty promises. Be forewarned.

4Glare is gone!  May 10, 2010
We are very happy with this TV. After returning a plasma 42" because of the glare and poor picture quality, we are thrilled with the size and picture quality of the Panasonic 37". Our viewing area is about 10' away and we don't feel the need for anything larger than this. Great purchase and great price!!

4Bill's reaction  Apr 30, 2010
This set was replacing a 4-year old Panasonic 37" that developed a problem with controlling some of the features with the remote control, like the volume for example. The picture and sound were still great, in fact better than the new one. The new set doesn't have as many ancillary equipment inputs and outputs as the set it replaced. For example, it doesn't have an analog audio output which I like to use with earphones occasionally. The promotional description says "Analog audio: yes". It must be referring to the fact that the internal speaker output is analog because I couldn't find one for my earphones. I don't think I would have bought it if I knew this.
